Happy 4th Birthday, Bailey

Today would've been Bailey's 4th birthday. It's really hard to believe that 4 years have gone by. In many ways, it really doesn't seem that long ago. This is always a really difficult time of the year and day for me and as much as I think it should be easier by now, it never is.

As usual I took the day off work and when Wil gets home we will go to Quantico National Cemetary to celebrate our daughter's birthday.

Another Florida Vacation...

Because I just can't get enough....we took another trip to Disney (the 2nd one in about 6 months). All in all, I think October is my favorite time to go because the weather was perfect and the crowds during the week were minimal. March was also nice, but busier and the weather was a bit more inconsistent, i.e. cold in the mornings and warmer in the afternoons.

We had a great trip and visited all 4 parks, but left ourselves 2 days to just relax...which actually really nice. We got in some pool time, which Grayson especially loved. We saw all of our favorite characters, but without a doubt, the best part of the trip was meeting Phineas and Ferb. Grayson was so excited that he waited over an hour and a half to meet them. Pretty impressive for a 2 year old. As soon as he got the ok, he ran straight up to Ferb and gave him a big hug...it was super sweet. And then as they were posing to have their picture by the photographer, he slid his little hand up to hold Ferb's hand. That meeting definitely made the trip.

Grayson is also really into Monsters, Inc right and we watched it non-stop on the way down and the way back from Disney, so we were excited to find him a stuffed Sully and Mike Wazowski that he could carry around.

With the exception of Grayson getting sick on the drive down and the drive back, I would say that trip was fantastic!! Grandma Carla and Grandpa Dean joined us for the first few days of the trip and visited a few parks with us, which was a lot of fun.

If only I had more vacation time (and more money), I think I would visit Disney even more! I keep trying to tell Wil that we should consider retirement in Celebration, Florida. A Disney built community outside of Orlando...think Norman Rockwell, only with Hampton's style pricing I think.
