It's his potty...
Grayson started his new daycare today and apparently decided that today was the day to go to the potty too! Apparently at daycare he told them that he needed to potty and in deed went to the potty. I realize that I am officially a mom...because this was quite exciting to me. I think I may frame the report from daycare! And of course this means that we need to get his potty out at home and ready for him to use! So proud of my little man!

New Job
Well, 2011 seems to be the year of delinquent posts, but I guess that means that I've been super busy this year and it definitely seems like there's not enough time in the day to get everything done that I need to get done...but I guess that's good...it's definitely not a boring life. :)
Since I last wrote, I received another job offer (the 4th one this summer) and decided to take it. I am now working for the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity at Quantico. It's close to home (actually shorter mileage than Dahlgren) and so far everything has gone well. I've been there about a month and still have A LOT to learn, but I think I will really enjoy it and once I get a little more comfortable, then I think I will really love this new job. It's very different from what I did at the WAC, but I'm excited to really dive into things. Of course, ask me next week after I turn in my first draft of my first project. haha
The people at the new job seem fabulous! (And no evil nemesis to deal with...that right there was worth the move!) Another lady started a few weeks before me and she is great. I met her husband as well when we carpooled up to a training in DC and I really think they're great. My boss seems wonderful and can definitely teach me a lot! We have a Marine Major and a Marine reservist/contractor in the office and that is the entire office. And while I will probably learn some new profanity and hear (and have already heard) my share of off-color jokes and commentary...they seem like a lot of fun. In fact, we have our first office after work happy hour coming up this next week! What a fun group!
The new job resulted in a new daycare for Grayson. We were surprised, but thankful that we could get him moved to the daycare at Quantico on base the same day that I started my new job. Unfortunately, that hasn't really worked out. I haven't been happy with the care he's received there (it's very business-oriented and lacking in the "care" part of that caregiving business) and it's not convenient when I need to go uptown, etc. So, we were able to get him into a daycare in the neighborhood and he starts this coming Monday. I am very excited! I really hope we like it. I've told them about the issues at Quantico, so let's hope they will take that into consideration and understand what mommy likes and doesn't like.
As you can see...lots of new things going on...I will do my best to keep you posted on all of the new adventures.
